M.A.R.S. Day
Midlothian Annual Reuse Sale Day (M.A.R.S. Day), also referred to as “Village Wide Garage Sale," is an annual event generally held on the first Saturday in May. (See village calendar for exact date.)
The purpose of this day is to encourage residents to offer for sale any unwanted/unused items that may be of some use to others. Reuse is one of the “Three R’s” — Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, which when put into practice keep waste products out of overflowing landfills.
To participate in M.A.R.S. Day, residents may Click here to sign up!. There is no fee, and no permit is required. The reason for registering for the event is so that your address will be included on a list of participating addresses that is prepared for and made available to the public.
Residents who do not sign up may still participate. Some have found that if you tie balloons or streamers to trees in your parkway, those driving by can easily spot your home as a participating location. In case of a downpour of rain, the rain day will be held on the following Saturday.
***M.A.R.S Day is a one day event.***
