Water/Refuse Service
A $50.00 water deposit is required for all single family residences. For multiple family dwellings the deposit if $50.00 per living unit. This water deposit is held in escrow and applied to your final bill.
Water is metered into your home at $3.10 per one thousand gallons, with a minimum charge of
$18.60 for 6,000 gallons during a 3-month period. There is a sewer charge of $1.28 per month, plus a charge of $ .74 for every thousand gallons of water used. This covers sewer maintenance and rehabilitation.
For single family residences, our refuse company allows three (3) 30-gallon covered containers per household\per week. You may also discard any debris EXCEPT BUILDING MATERIALS. Refuse can be put out in front of your home beginning at 6:00 PM the night before your scheduled pick-up day. You must bring your cans back to the rear of your building or lot before 8:00 PM on your pick-up day. The cost for refuse service is currently
$41.37 per quarter (or $13.79 per month), the rate charged by Allied/Groen
Waste. This is included in your water bill.
Holidays which affect garbage pickup are: New Year's Day, Memorial Day,
Independence Day, Labor day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

NORTH
North of 147th St. FRIDAY
NOTE: State law prohibits burning leaves at any time. Leaves are also to be kept out of the regular garbage due to landfills reaching
capacity. Leaves are considered Yard Waste. We recommend a
mulching lawnmower or composting to eliminate as much yard waste as
possible. All yard waste is to be put out at the curb on your garbage
pick up day in brown paper lawn bags (no sticker required on bags) or
containers with a "Yard Waste" sticker affixed. These
stickers are available at the Village Hall at no cost.
